“ If nothing else I can be known for being brutally honest with my reviews.. we stayed at a bed and breakfast down the road on a Sunday night, and by the time we decided we wanted to go eat there wasn't really much else open except for this place so we gave it a shot. My first impression when I pulled up to the place wasn't that great because honestly it wasn't much to look at plus there were people tailgating in the parking lot. The kind of thing you'd see at a ball game parking lot maybe on the side of the road waiting for the fireworks display. I did ask the waitress about it because honestly who wouldn't?.... And she said that it's a really small town it is not really much else to do. Okay then no problem I'm thinking The inside looks like a basic diner, the menu matches pretty well, and at least for what we ordered the food was pleasantly surprising. I actually had looked at other Yelp reviews before coming here and somebody had mentioned the cheesesteak which is one of my wife's favorites, so we both ordered a half cheesesteak sandwich and let me tell you a half was plenty. This was not a small sandwich and they were able to make hers without peppers which was a bonus because a lot of places have the onions and peppers already premixed in a big pile on the grill and it kind of upsets them to have to pick all the peppers out, but no this place had no problem so my my thought was they're probably grilling them up to order which is kind of cool. So anyway yeah we both had dinner and a large pile of french fries next to our sandwiches well being very outrageous at all. The waitress was friendly and came back a couple times to see how we were doing even though they were rather busy in there, I'm not sure because it's that good or because it's the only place open but either way good for them. ”

“ Ahhhh the 104 Store. While this is a truck stop, it's not really the place where most people just end up. This is essentially the only place to eat in the area. The patrons are all locals, everyone in here will know almost everyone in here, most of the time. This can be both good and bad. My husband grew up in Sterling, and went to Red Creek schools. He is one of those people that knows everyone in here. The food is good, great portion sizes and incredibly low prices. They offer take out ordering. Obviously as it's a truck stop they have gas pumps on the side. They also have a little store, attached to the restaurant portion. I've had many meals here with my husband and his family. It holds a special place in the heart of everyone who lives out there or grew up there. ”
